Want to visit the reef, but to dig a little deeper? Join us for a snorkeling tour focused on freediving the beautiful areas of the Great Mesoamerican Reef. We will bring you to areas with a variety of depths to allow you to explore larger coral structures and of course the beautiful marine life that the reef has to offer.
The price displayed is per person with a minimum of 2 guests per trip.
We are strictly committed to sustainable fishing practices and low-impact tourism experiences on the great Mesoamerican reef system here in Mahahual, Quintana Roo.
Equipment
Our tour includes semi-professional snorkeling equipment (all cleaned and sanitized before and after every use) including fins, certified life vests, and a personal guide who will also snap some underwater photos of you as a courtesy.
Food/Refreshment
We offer snacks to enjoy right on the boat. We provide water, a few sports drinks and, with online reservations, our own La Leyenda Craft Beer for free.
After your Tour
After your trip you are welcomed to relax on the beach and paddle around in our kayaks. Our area of sargassum-free beach is right alongside “Hotel 40 Cañones”.
EXTRA: Special access to “Pez Cuadro”, the beach club at Hotel 40 Cañones can be provided at an additional cost.

The price displayed is per person with a group limit of 10 guests.

IMPORTANT: intentionally touching any marine life is strictly prohibited and touching sea turtles is illegal. If guests touch or handle any marine life, we reserve the right to end the tour and withhold any photographs. Again, it is of utmost importance that we experience the delicate marine environment with absolute care and respect.
We can’t always be sure the weather will be kind to us, so we offer flexibility with reservation times and cancellations due to sea conditions and Harbor Master regulations.
Where to Go?
Finding us is easy. If coming in by a cruise ship, you can take a taxi from the cruise terminal directly to Hotel 40 Cañones where you will see our booth right on the beach. Taxis charge 4USD per person (one way) and the ride is only about 7 minutes.
